Four of my favorite websites for classroom ideas and strategies include the following:
This particular website provides ideas for properly utilizing classroom space while also taking into consideration safety, subject, grade level, and the amount of space needed. Classroom arrangement is important and must be set-up according to students' needs while ensuring space for proper learning centers.
This website provides tips for organization as well as classroom arrangement ideas. Classroom arrangement impacts the effectiveness of the classroom as well as classroom discipline. The structure of a classroom depicts the classroom atmosphere which can be crucial to student success.
This site provides thematic age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and school-aged children with step by step instructions. Some of the lessons include, 'Camping Under the Stars', 'Car Wash at the Park', 'School of Fish', and 'Ocean Waves'. Providing hands on activities allows the learner to explore in depth the unit or task at hand to better construct his/her knowledge of the subject at hand.
This site provides organization ideas including stations for various subjects, teacher's area, as well as ideas for small and whole group set-ups. An unorganized classroom can very well lead to safety hazards and misbehaviors. Classrooms should be welcoming for children and their family members. Items should be easy to find and children as well as educators should navigate the classroom with ease in order to promote discovery, teaching, and learning.
